ATM2 (Active Therapeutic Movement)

The ATM2 is an Active Therapeutic Movement rehab system for active relief of pain...treating both chronic and acute motion disorders in a functional and weight-bearing position. The ATM concept involves enhancing or improving any motion by initially stabilizing and repositioning compromised body areas relative to musculoskeletal issues and then implementing controlled movements or exercises towards the complaint movement or compromised body area under question. The ATM system can change immediately the way muscles move and therein provide immediate, consistent and long lasting results for most users.

Custom Orthotics

We offer digital foot scans and custom made soft spinal pelvic stabilizers (orthotics) by Foot Levelers. Many people are not aware that if their feet are not properly supported that it can affect other parts of their bodies such as knees, hips, and the spine. By properly supporting the arches of the foot, spinal pelvic stabilizers help the feet maintain their structural and functional balance when standing, walking, or running.

Stabilizers give the stable foundation that you need for a properly aligned body, which helps reduce unnecessary stress on your joints and in turn reduces pain.

Foot Levelers offers several different styles of stablizers that can be utilized in athletic shoes, dress shoes, and even women's heeled dress shoes.

Decompression and Light Therapy

We recently added a decompression and light therapy unit to our already diversified treatment modalities. The Dynatron DX2 Advanced Decompression System combines the benefits of decompression, FDA cleared light therapy and exercise to effectively treat herniated discs and degenerative discs of the cervical and lumbar spine. Sciatica and facet syndrome have also proven to benefit from this type of care. With Advanced Decompression there are three stages of treatment. Prior to decompression, light therapy is utilized to encourage relaxation of muscles, increase circulation and relieve minor muscle and joint aches. The second stage is the decompression process. The DX2 automatically calculates and digitally displays the angle-of-pull allowing decompression of the spine to occur at the targeted vertebral level. The final stage includes core-strengthening exercises to strengthen supportive core muscles and improve flexibility.

The Dynatron DX2 has proven to be effective for many of Dr. Kirstein's patients. They have found relief from conditions that have plagued them for years, therefore increasing their quality of life.

Laser Therapy

We have been utilizing Class IIIB and Class IV lasers with dramatic results. Laser therapy is proven to biostimulate tissue repair and growth. The Laser accelerates the healing process and decreases inflammation, pain, and scar tissue formation. In the management of chronic pain Class IV Laser therapy provides excellent results, is drug free, non-addictive, and virtually free of side effects.

We offer full body massage via the Aquamed dry hydrotherapy massage bed. Patients have rated the Aquamed experience as "fantastic". It is a combination of whirlpool, heat therapy, and massage that is done fully clothed. The patient is in full control via computer touchpad of the force, speed, and area of massage. Medical Supplies

We stock cervical and lumbar pillows, Bio-Freeze, analgesic gel, as well as EFAC topical pain and inflammation relief cream. We also carry Tens units, ice packs and many other orthopedic supplies.

Physiotherapy

Other therapeutic modalites we use include electro-muscle stimulation, ultrasound, heat and cryotherapy. We also teach specific exercises to help improve your condition utilizing body balls and thera-bands.
